Riverstone Escape is a comprehensive renovation designed to open the home’s interior and better connect the main living spaces to the surrounding riverfront setting. The project began with taking the home down to its structural framework, allowing for significant layout improvements and a more modern, open flow. Two load-bearing walls were carefully removed to combine the kitchen and living areas into one expansive gathering space. Structural LVL beams were installed to support the new open layout while maintaining the integrity of the home’s structure. The redesigned kitchen became the centerpiece of the renovation, featuring a custom island with stained beam accents above, detailed edge work on the countertops, and carefully selected fixtures that reflect the homeowners’ style. Mechanical systems were also updated, including new electrical and plumbing work and the addition of a ventless fireplace with a custom mantle feature. A modest refresh to the hall bathroom completed the renovation, improving functionality while maintaining design continuity throughout the home. The finished space delivers a clean, open environment that blends structural craftsmanship with thoughtful design—creating a welcoming riverfront home designed for gathering, comfort, and everyday living.
